Enjoy a massage based on the blended traditions of Yoga, deep tissue, Esalen, a year of therapeutic massage school, and dance. My massage is for clients who are looking for a "real," professional massage which employs sensuality and integrated bodywork to deepen your experience. I offer a truly unique massage experience combining deep stretches, focused fun deep work, and a decade of experience loving learning doing bodywork. During your massage I employ my hands, elbows, forearms, muscular frame, and even my chin to work out your tight spots and soothe your muscles. I will touch and massage you in ways that you probably have not been touched before unless of course this isn't your first Zeke's Bodyworks experience. My massage is a premium massage for those who are connoisseurs of bodywork. My non threatening easy and warm personality also makes my massage perfect for the nervous newcomer too. A massage this expansive deserves a thorough website. . .so please take a look ;) Both of my offices are located in Berkeley (East Bay) however i do offer free pick up and drop off fron the North Berkeley BART station if you require an incall. I also offer blissful four hand massage at a convenient San Francisco studio (ask for details) This is a NON-EROTIC therapeutic massage experience with a nod to the healing power of sensuality and touching of the whole body. . .a huge portion of my practice is outcall massage so please do not hesitate to call if you see me listed in your town---I check e-mail infrequently so please call to book your appointment. 10/02/09 I just had the best experience with Zeke today. He returned my call quickly and set up an appointment for me to come in to see him. He's very pleasant and very laid back in person. I have never experienced any massages like Zeke. I have received a few massages before, but Zeke's massage is a special one. He will make you feel so nurtured and cared for the whole time you are with him. I feel that every part of my body is rejuvenated after the session. I highly recommend him. Zeke is a special guy.

08/28/09 I was a regular client of Zeke's a few years ago when he was in L.A., but have not seen him for over a year. As a gift to myself, I flew up to Oakland to revisit his unique and special massage. And, as usual, Zeke provided the best, most complete massage I have ever received. His sense of the body and how to work it is amazing. NO ONE DOES A MASSAGE LIKE ZEKE. With his intense concentration and his strong arms and hands, Zeke transforms his massage into a work of art. As he writes in his ad, his massage is like a dance and you leave feeling like you have just had the best dance of your life. It is mentioned in another review that this massage therapist does not offer sex or release. Instead he offers you much more....a bit of himself thru his caring touch, his easy manner, his knowledge, his gentle spirit and his mastery of massage therapy. I have been to many massage therapists in my fifty-some years. No one...and I repeat..no one comes close to the massage experience at Zeke offers. I feel so very fortunate that from time to time I can enjoy that experience. This man is the best.

07/18/09 Zeke promptly returned my call and was able to accomodate me with a next day afternoon appointment and he was even gracious enough to pick me up from the local BART. Zeke is a genuinely kind person and his touch can appropriately be labeled as neutral (very intimate but non-intrusive). Zeke is very respectful of your body and you will easily melt in his arms. This massage is non-sexual (that is not to say it is not balanced well with sensuality) so if your looking for "happy ending" style touches or outright sex look elsewhere (As long as you honor these boundaries, Zeke can be as warm as you want). Zeke helped me connect with my affectionate energy again and I left enlightened and energized. Truly a rare find, Zeke IS my massuer and I look forward to future appointments.

05/30/08 Zeke O'Brien's massage is simply and easily, one of the best massage experiences i've had in a long, long time. i know that phrase gets tossed around a lot and definitely towards many masseurs but all you have to do is experience a 'zeke' massage and you'll forget the other 'best's' you've had. Here's the scoop: not a single stroke wasted from start to finish. knows every single origin and insertion of a muscle to be able to get you the maximum amount of release. intuitively knows how much you can take as long as you receive well and breathe....

05/22/08 I'm a massage therapist myself, so I'm not making this statement in a casual or uninformed way: Zeke gave me the best massage I have ever had in my life. It's rare that I can actually enjoy a massage without my own mental criticisms and comparisons going on during the session, but with Zeke I was able to let go of any doubts or critiques and experience a truly excellent therapeutic massage. Zeke is not afraid to do extremely deep and specific work in a knowledgeable way, yet is super sensitive and can also be very gentle with his touch. The way he holds your body, using his whole body to massage yours, and his sweet and honest nature make for a deeply sensual experience that allows trust, peacefulness and utter relaxation. Zeke is a rare find- Amazing, talented, special. His massage left me feeling different: more aware, awake and alive. I'll say it again: the best massage I have ever had. Thanks, Zeke!

02/18/08 From the first phone call, I knew that Zeke would be a great match. He was super friendly and accomodated my need for an urgent massage. From the moment I entered into the warm room, Zeke's interesting blend of massage therapy was tantalizing and I felt completely at ease and wanted the experience to go on for atleast another hour. His ability to "read" my body was appreciated. He was able to go deep without any problem. His touch is calming yet strong. He's on my "A" list.

02/08/08 Zeke was outstanding. I agree with all that has been said here. He was very welcoming, responded promptly to my call, accommodated a difficult schedule and operated in a truly professional way. His massage approach is very unique - firm, slow movements and a physical presence that made me feel safe and well cared for. Some unique and wonderful parts of the massage included working some tensions while I laid on my side, incorporating some stretches that got out deep knots, working my chest and stomach more than other bodyworkers and using his chin. There is nothing mechanical about his approach. He also has a great sense of humor. Thanks Zeke for a unique, wonderful experience.

10/29/07 If you want a real massage by a real man, Zeke is your man, and a fine one. I was intrigued with the description on his web page so I called him, wondering whether his work was as unique as he described. Well it is, and as I told him, this massage is not for wimps. He worked out tightness in my neck that hasn’t subsided in years. The stretches are powerful and personal. He also made my feet feel brand new. His work excels, and being with him is pure pleasure. I am visiting from Dallas and would love to find someone like him there.

07/09/07 I don't usually take the time to write these reviews, however I just came from my appointment with Zeke and he is by far the best masseur I've ever used. It was easy to contact him and make the appointment. I was a few minutes early and he was all set up and ready for me. I let him know that I like a lot of pressure and he used the perfect amount. The streches he intregrates throughout the massage are great. I left the appointment feeling like a new person. If you are looking to treat yourself to a truly fantastic massage experience, I highly recommend a call to Zeke.

03/03/07 I have seen Zeke frequently over the past year, and he is easy to reach on the phone and always prompt. He is the best massage therapist that I have ever experienced. I am embarassed that I have not written a review for him earlier, and now I will miss him as he will be moving back to San Francisco soon. Of course, his warm smile and mountain man physique are irresistable, but it is his incredible body work that makes him unique. His combination of stretches, deep muscle work, and long, sensual strokes is like a dream dance. Zeke's heart is clearly in this restorative work, and his wonderful energy leaves you feeling connected and at peace. You will not be disappointed.

12/19/06 Looking thru MassageM4M for a massage therapist, I came across Zeke's excellent and informative web site. Even though I called early in the morning, he answered and we set up an appointment for later in the day. Zeke arrived promptly on time..and quickly put me at ease with his charming manner and his interest in what I needed from the massage. It took only a few minutes into the session for me to realize that this man truly knows his work. He has a keen sense of the body and how to work out the rough spots. Also, his knowledge of Yoga and the positions make this a very unique experience. His caring/healing nature is a rare find..and I found myself struck with disbelief that I was experiencing such an emotional and physical 90 minutes with this talented man. Zeke has a true gift.... in short...he is the best you will find in the business! I feel so lucky that I found him and look forward to more sessions with him. 11/28/06 After a 2-hour delay in the Dallas airport, I was in dire need of relaxing massage. First I must state that pre-arranging an appointment with Zeke was quit easy, even though we lived in separate states. Secondly he waited until I arrived, hours after our originally scheduled appointment. Zeke was fantastic…a master at his craft. After searching the Internet for a masseur I knew I made the right choice. His energy, boyish good looks, and inviting smile put me totally at ease. Zeke puts his whole body into his work and takes you on journey in which you feel relaxed, comfortable and cared for throughout the whole time. He masterfully combines sensuality with his massage resulting in a combination that stimulates all your senses from head to toe. I felt exhilarated afterward and recommend him without hesitation. He is an excellent masseur and a very attractive, intelligent, nurturing man. I am grateful for the experience.

08/15/06 This was hands down the best massage I have ever had! In 6 years of twice monthly massages by good folks, I have never had the experience I had with Zeke. He moved my body in ways I've never been moved before. From head to toe, his knowledge of yoga and spiritual practice emerge in subtle and powerful.. really powerful ways. Sweet and gentle he asked me to move into postions that I have never expereinced before, was creative, and intimate, and real, and engaging and the singular best experience I have had on a massage table - perhaps off the table too! He just gets it... the power of touch and the body and movement... He just gets it. And although I am on the road, traveling for a month now, I would fly back to the SW to experience what Zeke gave me...and wish I could have it back in the Midwest all the time. That moppy hair and great California smile arn't too bad either!

07/01/06 Wow! Zeke is phenomenal, a unique talent, generous spirit and technically brilliant bodyworker. From the professionalism with which he presents himself and sets up appointments to the hug and smile as he said goodbye, Zeke made this one of the best massage experiences I've ever had. Working with Zeke was as much of an emotional experience as it was physical; while the actual massage left my body feeling wonderful, I also felt nurtured and invigorated in mind & spirit. The fact that he's strong, sexy and unafraid to put his hands anywhere on your body that needs work doesn't hurt, either. I felt totally secure, safe and confident with Zeke, which in turn allowed him to utilize his talents to the fullest. Before he left, I had already booked him for another session. For me, Zeke is the gold standard against which all other masseurs will be judged!
