After an initial discussion with the client, specific essential oils are used in conjunction with other appropriate techniques, such as massage, acupressure, or reflexology. Used in oils, the essential oil is absorbed through the skin and into the body to affect physiological change. Erotic Massage is a combination of a sensual relaxing bodywork and sexuality. Not to be mistaken for Sex, Erotic Massage can be integrated with any number of legitamate massage techniques or a light body-rub that includes a sexual release by hand. Generally both the Massage Therapist/Bodyworker and Client are nude during this experience. Each Therapist/Bodyworker has different 'rules' as to what that experience will entail so a good rule of thumb is to always talk to the therapist/bodyworker about the experience before coming to any conclusions.

This technique is described by its practitioners as “a sophisticated method of communicating with the unconscious through movement.” Similar to the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais therapists attempt to bring the client’s awareness to his body, but instead of helping develop a specific healthy posture, Feldenkrais philosophy mandates that any specific posture is negative, and that a relaxed, balanced body will “flow” through wholesome postures like liquid.
