11/02/10 I decided to take advantage of a discount rate for a 90 minute massage with Joe. I was a little nervous trying a new masseur but decided to go for it. I'm glad I did. Joe is a friendly guy, has a nice warm room for a massage and has the talent to give a good massage. He started out with a foot massage with warm weights for my shoulders which was calming. I then got on the table for the massage and melted away. Joe is a talented masseur who I highly recommend. 10 out of 10

08/22/10 Third time with Joe. He does a good job of ascertaining your body quirks and needs and then delivers a massage to suit them. He keeps a file on you so he'll check in on return visits. New location; very pleasant room. I needed more stretching and we did several stretches. He also offered some tips for yogic stretches. Very in tune with my body. Joe is a very warm person and has a wicked sense of humor. Therapeutic, yes; sensual yes. Next time I'd like to try the surfing he mentions on his front page.

11/17/09 It was very easy to set up an appointment with Joe. I have had several massages with him and each has been better then the one before. In the past I have gotten very mechanical day spa massages or private massages that have been very cold and impersonal. I am an older man and most masseurs don't engage well with older clients that are not gym fit, I have not felt this with Joe at all. He has made me feel like a person that he cares about and wants to provide the best service he can, this has been very refreshing. I will continue going to Joe in the future and would recommend him to anyone that wanted an excellent massage and a therapist that care about you as a person.

07/17/09 Three things attracted me to Joe: (1) intrigued by his unique technique, (2) reasonable rate, and (3) that awesome smile. Joe responded to my email quickly and thoroughly. We set an appointment and I called when I got to town for specific directions to his place. He called me about an hour before my appointment to let me know he was available if I wanted to start early so I headed over. It's only about a 15 minute walk from the Castro strip...up the hill then back down and up a little more. So, unless you're looking for a pre-massage workout, take a cab. That awesome smile greeted me at the door and, yes, he is very handsome and easy on the eyes. He utilizes modalities I've seldom seen outside of a spa starting off with a foot massager and hot packs for the tight spots. In my case, shoulders and lumbar. He goes through a thorough interview of expectations, problem areas, medical history etc. I was already thoroughly relaxed so I hope I didn't snore while he was talking to me. He then began working the top of my feet while the machine worked the bottom. After 10 minutes or so, he had me undress and move to the table. He offers a drape but he keeps the room very comfortable so it's not necessary. His expertise is quickly evident in his knowledge of muscle isolation and tension release as he concentrates on the problem areas. He is constantly sensitive to the clients needs. When he does speak during the session, it is to inquire about pressure and comfort. When he begins the full body portion, it's exactly as described...body surfing. It is effectively therapeutic as well as VERY sensual. While I was up plenty during the session, this is not 'erotic' massage or sexual in any way. Strictly AWESOME body work. One tip: if you're easily distracted, keep your eyes closed and concentrate on relaxing! I highly recommend Joe and hope he has some time available next time I'm in town.

09/24/08 Joe's picture does not do him justice. He is very handsome with a great smile that puts you at ease. His place is very clean and neat,soothing choice of music. Being my first time with him, he took time to talk with me about "trouble spots" on my body while my feet were being nicely massaged with an electric foot massage device, along with warm pads draped over my shoulders. A true delight. After I undressed,(he did also) I laid back on a heated table which was very comfortable. His touch and use of his body against yours is heaven! I left there with a real bounce in my step...

05/26/08 My partner and I are used to getting massages at least twice a month. When we new we were going to go to SF on our vacation, we went on the web site and came across Joe's profile. We new after reading his information that Joe was going to be the best one. Boy were, we right. We scheduled two 90-minute massages with him. Joe's techniques are the best. He really understands what your body needs. He does not rush you, he makes sure that your body is fully relaxed and that any problems you may be having are taken care of before you leave. We both felt so good afterwards that we were amazed how good we felt. Joe is the best. His place is so warm and inviting, he makes you feel very comfortable. We wished we lived closer, In fact we are condsidering moving up there and if we do, he will be our regular therapist. Until then, he will be the one we see everytime we visit SF. Thanks Joe!!!

05/24/08 This massage was unlike any other I have ever received. Joe is a professional in every way. I am not a young man but he treated me as if I was 21. He is beautiful inside and out and I will definitely be a repeat client. I could go on and on and imitate a lot of other reviewers but the truth of the matter is just this: Joe is worth a million dollars, and thank heaven, he is where he is. Thank you a thousand times over.

08/22/07 Joe gives an amazing massage. While he will massage you clothed or nude, with all of the work that he does using his whole body, you should ask him to massage you nude. It is not sexual at all, but it definitely is sensual. While I was totally relaxed after my massage, a couple hours later I was very "up". I am a pretty big guy and work out pretty regularly, and he is only 5'8", yet he was able to work my muscles, stretching me and I was completely satisfied. It has already been said that his looks are an added bonus. I had my eyes closed most of the time but when I opened them and got a chance to see his face and body, it was an added treat. Worth every penny!

He was wonderful with his abiltiy to give srong stretching motion, along with focusing on areas that needed tension relief, w/o release at the end. He is a great guy and checked in to see how I was doing quite often. Highly recommend him.

12/01/06 Joe was very kind and gentle, giving the best massage I could imagine. His hands were smooth and all over my body, connecting with my soul, it seemed. He was not in a hurry, and spoke softly as he checked in from time to time to ensure everything was good. He was very sexy and sensual, but did not sexualize the experience. Iwould have liked him to massage me "down there" but it didn't happen. Not talking about sex, but attention with his gentle hands. I didn't want to ask him if he would do that, purely out of respect, as he is such a nice and gentle person. If he is open to that as a suggestion, I would like to see him discretely share it in his ad. I didn't want to leave, but when I did, I felt completely weak-kneed from being so relaxed. I even called him after leaving to tell him how loose my muscles felt, it was so unbelievable. I will be back. Joe - Excellent job. I wanted to write this earlier, but have been busy traveling. I will definitely be back.
