About Michael's Massage
I use swedish, sports and deep tissue techniques. I have strong hands, and a warm, caring, intuitive manner and touch. $60 for 60 minutes, $75/75 minutes, $90/90 minutes, a very good rate! Get on the table at my flat in the mission district, next to Dolores Park. I'm a professional masseur who makes tight, stressed and sore muscles become relaxed, loose and un-knotted. I check in with you to calibrate the right amount of pressure for your body. I have great hands, and have developed techniques that blend erotic touch with traditional bodywork approaches. Together, we'll work out what mix and focus works for you. I'm easy going, discreet, and a good communicator, so setting up expectations for the session will be simple and easy. I started going to Michael after my previous masseur moved away. Right from the very moment our session began, I realized that Michael was the masseur for me. Our session began with his discussing my needs. During the first session he would ask if the pressure he was applying was too little or much and adjusted accordingly. On subsequent sessions he remembered how much pressure to apply. He also incorporates some much needed stretching of the legs, which was a great way to help relax the lower part of my body. Clients also have the option having Michael apply heated stones to his massages. They are definitely worth trying. After each session with Michael, I leave feeling like a new man.

I just got home after meeting Michael. I found him to be professional, kind, courteous, and very skilled. I have a systemic injury to my legs, and he took note of that injury and adjusted the massage as needed. For the first session, he asked alot of questions (which I appreciated) to check in to see how the experience was for me. I highly recommend Michael to anyone wanting a real massage. I left his studio relaxed, rejuvenated, and revitalized. Thank you, Michael!

Michael was my first professional massage. I was encouraged by a friend who gets massage regularly, who told me that a good therapist could reduce some stress and reduce pain in my legs. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience. Michael was great on the phone and setting up the appointment was easy. I had an incall at his home and was warmly welcomed. On my feet constantly, I suffer most in my legs and feet. I told Michael this and he went to work. He was frequently checking in with me, making sure I was comfortable with the whole experience and that he was working the right areas. Afterward, pain and tension were gone, and I felt better than I had in years. I'm definitely hooked. I've had many massages since Michael, but few that came close to giving me the benefits his work did. I wish I could find a masseur at home who is this good.

Michael utilizes what I will call “progressive pressure” that results in exactly the right depth of pressure in the right spots. As a dedicated athlete I frequently get deep knots of sore muscles after hard training. Michael starts with a light touch in order to get a feel for what areas need work and then goes deeper on those areas that need them. He uses multiple techniques to relieve the knots including direct pressure, hitting the muscle insertion point, breath work, and stretching. He is always on time and professional. He is attentive and a good communicator. Setting up the appointment is easy and he has a flexible schedule usually able to give me an appointment exactly when I want one. He doesn't have a separate dedicated massage room, but the space provided is warm, comfortable, and sufficiently large. He worked with me to create a reasonably priced package which enabled me to see him every 2 weeks. I go in sore and come out feeling great and ready to train.
