About Jim's Massage
My name is Jim, I love to do massage, and I'm happy to work on you. I specialize in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, also integrating a variety of other techniques including Swedish, Trigger Point, and Energetic Healing. I work the full body or can just focus on the areas needing most attention. My skilled, intuitive and compassionate approach will bring you greater freedom in your body - both freedom from pain and freedom to move. My goal is to provide a transformative experience for every client - genuine relaxation, stress relief, renewed energy, and deep pleasure.
I have been actively involved in the healing arts and all sorts of alternative physical and spiritual therapies since my early teens. So when you have a massage session with me, you benefit from my broad range of knowledge and experience that I bring to the table - literally. At the same time, YOU are my focus, and each session is tailor designed to fit your needs in that moment. I will go as deep or as gentle as you want. I can do the whole body in one session, or just focus on the areas that are needing particular attention on that day.
Many are surprised by the strength that comes through me. For though I am a compact 5’6” and 150 lbs, I am a muscular man with very strong hands, thanks to playing the piano since the age of 3. My regular workouts at the gym, and training in yoga and dance also contribute to the quality of my massage work, as I am very aware of bringing flow and balance to each session.
Both my Berkeley and San Francisco studios are very quiet, warm and private. The San Francisco studio is in the Upper Haight/Ashbury Heights area, and the Berkeley studio is 6 blocks from the downtown center with easy access to BART. Both studios look out onto beautiful, secluded ceremonial gardens. Inside they are designed as sacred healing spaces that incorporate indigenous art, artifacts and healing altars. I use massage tables at both locations, with either oil or lotion as per your preference. I also provide great relaxing and unique music from my huge CD collection, as my other main work is as a musician/composer. So when you come for a massage, you get a TOTAL experience!
My rates for Therapeutic Massage are $85 for 60 minutes or $125 for 90 minutes. Specialized sessions are available at additional cost. For example, a combined Therapeutic/Erotic Massage session is $125 for 60 minutes or $175 for 90 minutes. Other specialized sessions include: Psychic/Intuitive Counseling, Shamanic/Energetic Healing, and Four Hands Massage. Please inquire for details. Hablo Espanol tambien.
Parking is available at both locations. Often I can take last minute appointments, but it is sometimes better to schedule at least a day or two ahead. I am available most days between noon and 10 pm.

I am single, visiting San Francisco and just "coming out" to myself at the tender age of 50. This was my first time visiting a male to male masseur. Jim is special. Jim is warm. Jim makes you feel at ease from the time I phoned him and also when you meet him in person. Jim is great looking with a great body and strong hands. I was so happy with Jim that I saw him a 2nd time.....the next day. Another great experience with Jim! I like Jim :) Should I ever meet Jim again I think I'd like to spend part of my time massaging his hot body ! (an east coast admirer)

If you get the chance to book with Jim, don't pass up the opportunity. Go for the 90 minutes if you can. He was going to be in Oakland and didn't charge for the travel. Very handsome and very friendly, putting me at ease right away. Jim asked what I was looking for and I told him based on his other reviews, I was going to let him take the lead. He worked me top to bottom and the 90 minutes flew by. He let himself out as I was to relaxed and spent to get up. I'm looking forward to future visits with this hot and talented man.

Jim looks like his photos, he’s as physically strong as he claims, and he provides a first rate massage experience. What makes him unique in my experience is his high level of intelligence, intuition, creativity, integrity and openness to explore body/mind connections. I’ve had good massages from other masseurs, never with Jim’s unique level of integration. Highest recommendation.

The minute I arrived at Jim's San Francisco location, I felt right at easy. He greeted me at the door and lead me into a space that was so warm and inviting I knew right then the massage was going to go above my expectations. We both talked about our commonalities which added to the pleasure of meeting this man whom I have most admiration for. Jim's technique and warmness carried through the massage. He asked if there were any pains or issues to know beforehand. I also indicated I preferred heavier pressure which he skillfully performed. Jim is a handsome man, extremely talented and gifted and one whom I will want to visit in the future. Thank you so much Jim. I enjoyed our time and was pleased you did the same. Lovely music in addition to a fantastic experience.
