03/22/12 Jay responded promptly to my email and we exchanged a series of emails, text messages and phone calls to book the appointment, answer questions and get directions to his place. Upon arrival Jay made me feel at ease by coming out to greet me, offering me something to drink and spending a few minutes discussing my needs or any limitations I may have. Jay's website outlines the massage options he offers for which I chose to go all the way with the 2-1/2 hour "Ecstatic Escape Spa Ritual". Over the years I have had many a massage, some at the finest spa's, but none compare the eclectic blend of massage styles and products that Jay brings to his whole body spa therapy. Other reviewers list the the varied techniques and products used in the session but fail to capture how well it is all choreographed. It clearly demonstrates Jay's years of experience and passion for what he does that separates him from any other masseur doing a routine massage. At the end of the session I felt completely satisfied, wanting for nothing. That night I slept sounder and longer than any time I can remember. On my next trip to Maui I will most certainly hook up with Jay again.

04/12/11 After a nice chat with Jay I choose to come out to his place for my massage as it sounded so peaceful and he seemed so welcoming. I selected his 2 hr body~bliss massage based on his description on the website. First let me say that I found him to be quite easy going and made me feel super comfortable. I'm maybe 10 lbs overweight and a few decades older than him so I sometimes worry a new therapist may be not so accepting. Jay took a few minutes to talk about me and what I like and then put me on his table. I knew within 2 minutes that I was in superb hands. His touch was electric and he really knows how to find the places where i was locked down most. He took better care of me then my sports massage therapist at my gym in HNL but at the same time created this amazing soothing experience where i was more relaxed then i can ever remember being. I felt transformed and also amazed by the range of sensations and his skillful touch. I will be making more trips to maui now just to make sure i get to do this again every few months or so. 06/26/10 Jay is really a very special man & is the most talented massage therapist that I've ever had work on me! I'm in my early 50's, work in the social services field & am an avid runner. I usually get a massage once or twice a month. I scheduled a Spa Ritual with Jay because I found the way he presented himself in his add & in his emails to be appealing & distinctive (He was even more appealing in person ; ) I decided to go to a nude beach that afternoon before my session and Jay graciously offered to let me shower at his place before the massage so that I wouldn't have to go back to my hotel first. He gave me clear directions and had a very friendly vibe to his voice. THE MASSAGE: During the first five minutes or so of the treatment he dusted my body with a soft powder and then sensually glided his hands over all of me. This felt soooo incredible that I thought I wouldn't mind if this was all he did for the entire session. He then used all these differently- textured soft brushes to remove the powder which felt really great as well. He then covered my entire backside with lemon scented hot towels and massaged me through the towels while the heat penetrated into my body. When he started to massage me with deeper pressure he used this warm herbal clay mud. It was a lot thicker than massage oil and felt absolutely amazing. My whole body was tingling plus I was completely blissed-out by him. Jay uses lots of intimate body contact and somehow found ways to use most of his body to massage me. He literally would glide & slide all over me. I don't know how he learned to have such control & to know how to always use just the right amount of pressure, but he's got it going on. Later on in the session he started using these smooth heated stones to massage my low back, glutes & thighs. WOW! He also gave me a really relaxing facial and a series of body scrubs that felt really awesome. Overall, Jay was really present and picked up on everything that was happening with my body. I particularly loved the music he played and he would sync what he was doing massage-wise to match its flow. While he didn't talk during the session he invited me to share a glass of water and to chat a while before I left, which was really nice. Rather than driving right back to my hotel I decided to walk the few blocks to the beach from his place. I ended up sitting on the beach for over an hour feeling completely content, deeply relaxed & refreshed and so appreciative! Let's just say that during my time with Jay he took such incredible care of me. While I completely enjoyed all of the pleasurable & stimulating elements of the spa therapies & his 'out-of-this-world' massage, I particularly loved the connection we had & the series of intense energetic & physical releases that ensued. Jay's spa ritual was unlike anything I've ever experienced before and his massage ability is unparalleled. Ecstatic is right! THANKS SO MUCH JAY! I'll be scheduling two sessions next year my friend.

05/02/10 My partner & I are on vacation (+ fisiting friends) in beautiful Maui right now. We're both professional males in our early 40's and are reasonably fit. Today we both had EXCELLENT massages from Jay. At home I usually get a massage about once a month & I alternate between two different therapists who are quite good. I'm picky about who I go to & live in a large city so there's lots of 'good' therapists to choose from. While I've always thought my regular guys we're the cream of the crop, Jay's massage has now totally raised the bar for me. He's outstanding at what he does! Of course, it doesn't hurt that he's also very sweet & sexy : ) It was deep, sensual, stimulating & very, very enjoyable. I still feel totally relaxed & completely amazing five hours later. I tend to prefer deeper work that will really release all of my stress and knots but will still feel good & not be painful. Jay listened to me and really addressed all my areas that needed extra attention, plus he found many more spots I didn't even know we're sore & tight. The massage never felt uncomfortable even when he was working the top of my shoulders which can be rock hard. He has this fluidity & grace that is unparalleled and a very in-depth knowledge of the body. During the massage I kept thinking: 'this feels SOOO GOOOOD' as well as 'How the heck is he doing that'?. At one point I turned my head to the side to watch what he was doing-he was actually using his knee & with the perfect amount of pressure was gliding it all the way from my ankle up to my shoulders and back again. He would then smoothly switch knees and do it again up the other side of my body. The sensations were incredible! Also, several times during the session he would also use these heated stones that he'd rub all over me, warming up my muscles & making me moan in appreciation! AND, at the very end he completely impressed me by massaging my neck for about 5 minutes with more skill than my chiropractor. I don't think my neck has ever felt so mobile! Jay clearly has spent his life developing his talents and loves giving massages! If your ever on Maui don't pass up the chance to get a massage from this guy! He gets an A+ in our book. Both my partner and I have rescheduled with him for the day before we head home.

12/02/09 My partner and I recently vacationed in Hawaii, a week at the Halekulani Waikiki Beach and a week at the Grand Wailea in Maui. When we are on vacation it's all about relaxing and getting pampered. We were having such a good time in Waikiki we almost changed our plans to stay longer. We are so glad we didn't! I had been communicating with Jay via email about two weeks before our vacation. He was very polite and articulate describing the different massages and packages. I was impressed and knew we would use him when we arrived in Maui. I called Jay from Honolulu to schedule an appointment for my partner and myself. This was the first time we spoke on the phone, I knew immediately we picked the right guy since Jay has such a soothing voice. Imagine, I fell in love with his voice. Jay was very helpful with directions from our hotel, he was less than ten minutes from the hotel. Upon our arrival Jay welcomed us, and showed us his studio. He has a great set up, a well appointed treatment room, with great scents and sound system. His music is not the typical spa rain sound, or Asian temple bells, its very different. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it is choreographed to his massage, how wonderful is that! After your massage he has a private spa shower with dozens of products for your body and hair. After your shower you slip into a plush comfy robe he provides. Jay uses various strokes and pressure blending it smoothly into a soothing, relaxing, comforting experience. He takes his time and doesn't watch the clock. I especially loved the part where he placed a warm stone in my hand and closed it. I told Jay about some pain I was having in my neck due to some old disc injuries. I don't know what he did, but his hands are magic. The pain I was experiencing disappeared the next day. My partner and I agree, Jay gave us the best massage we've ever had. Wait the story gets better... before we left Maui we scheduled two more massages before going home. We have never felt so comfortable with any other massage therapist. Jay made us feel so welcome in his home. If you're looking for the best massage and something different try Jay, we highly recommend him. We will return to Hawaii soon to see Jay or he will have to make a house call to us in Ft Lauderdale, Florida!
