Hey guys! I'm limited on space, so please visit my site (link at left) for more detailed info! I feel that by giving you a lot of details about the appt, you'll know that you've chosen a guy who TRULY cares about you and your experience. Nothing worse than spending the $ and time with a guy who considers you nothing more than a paycheck. Don't you deserve to know ahead of time that you’ll be cared about and well taken care of during the massage? I think so. I'd like you to know who I am and what I'm about so you can come here feeling almost like an old friend. It’s our time together, so let’s make it special.
I'm one of the real guys WITH training and experience. I believe in giving an extraordinary skilled massage, but I also believe that a great massage should have a sensuality and to it. I'm a very masculine 33 year old guy, who has a hugely romantic heart. I share that heart with you and bring a lot of love, care, skill, technique and intuition to my work. I want you to feel very special and so I care about each appt as if it's the most important appt I've ever done. You deserve nothing less.
I'm so grateful for the hundreds of e-mails I've had over the years telling me that I'm the best. But that isn't by chance. I set out to BE the best. Many people have told me that they actually felt like I loved them during my appts. In some ways that's true, because part of my work is opening up a part of my heart. Why shouldn't you feel loved by the person working on you in such a vulnerable and intimate way? But there is incredible skill and experience here as well. It’s not a 20 minute back scratch (don’t you just hate those?). I have been a CMT for 11 years and have a sports medicine background. I tend to be popular with a high end client base, and my client list includes world famous rock bands, TV and film stars and numerous studio executives. I've also been the resident massage therapist on multiple network tv shows. That's as much of a reference as I can give, though, as I promise each client full anonymity and complete privacy. (So no, I won't tell you who, even if you beg and plead and smile pretty. But that's good, cause you wouldn't want me mentioning your name either, right?)
UNTIMED APPOINTMENTS: I do offer a 1 hour, but the BEST is my "untimed" appointment (listed as 95 min's, but is actually untimed, so that I don't have to rush to get finished in 95 min’s). I feel that a truly great massage needs to take as LONG as it needs and NOT be rushed. My appt is longer than most you'll find out there and incredibly leisurely and relaxed, which is as it should be. I've had several massages myself from guys I've found (much like you are finding me), and I've been repeatedly disappointed when it was more about being timed than simply letting the massage progress as it needs. Hearing "you're all set" when you know the person did not give you the time and care they should have (whether it's because they don't have the skills for it or simply don't care about you), is a frustrating way to end a massage. That won’t happen with me. In general my appts last in the 90 minute range, but can often go longer, which gives me the time not only for the therapeutic, but also the sensual as I take you through the end, then slowly back to reality again while being cradled in my arms. It’s all about what I find when I start working on you. Just lay down, relax and let me take you on a journey through your body.
Note: Unless asked for specifically, I will always assume that you are booking for the full untimed appointment, as that is what virtually every client ask for and expects. Every review you've read about my work has been about the full untimed appointments.

I was nervous and embarrassed to go to a massage therapist. I had been fighting cancer for almost 4 years (I am now in remission and NED - No Evidence of Disease), the meds had taken their toll upon me and I gained weight. I didnt want to have people judging me. After being ill, I was feeling vulnerable and uneasy about my own body. I had contacted Jeffrey because of his wonderful reviews. This will be another of those! Jeffrey made me feel at ease even via email. I had told him all about me and my illness. He told me that my body was beautiful no matter what size it is and that I would be beautiful in his eyes. Well, when I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted with the most radiant smile I have seen! I put my bag down and I was embraced by Jeffrey in what I can only describe as the most loving, caring and nurturing hug I have ever received. We chatted for a bit about my work, New York theatre, and then Jeffrey did something that no other massage therapist has ever done - he put me at ease by making me laugh. And did I mention that smile? I laid upon his table and Jeffrey's hands did magic things to my back....we talked for a bit during the massage - again, about work, friends, family - but he knew when I was floating away and enjoying the sensation of his strong hands working out my knots and kinks. He knew exactly how to read me and slowly eased off of the conversation and allowed me to melt under his hands. He checked in with me to make sure the pressure was okay - which it was. He periodically stroked my hair and leaned in to give me light hugs. Those embraces made me feel like i was more than a client. I felt cared for. I felt safe with Jeffrey. I felt loved. And that made me relax all the more. When Jeffrey massaged my arms and allowed his hands to slide down my arms to my hands, he held them, entwining his fingers with mine. The sensation was phenomenal....so relaxing. After my massage, Jeffrey held me until I was ready to return to the world. It was difficult ...I was completely in a land of bliss! I have never had a massage like this. It was rewarding, comforting, exciting, caring. Jeffrey truly loves his clients. He loves his work. And it shows. Jeffrey enjoys making his clients feel good, safe, cared for....All massage therapists should strive to be exactly like Jeffrey! This experience was so good, I will definitely return to see Jeffrey again. I left walking taller, feeling absolutely amazing and feeling better about my body. Thank you Jeffrey for the most gratifying and wonderful massage I have ever received. I will tell EVERYONE about you and how wonderful my massage was. You are a gem - a diamond that is flawless.

I have never felt so well taken care of on a massage table as I did on Jeffrey's. From the moment I walked in the door, Jeffrey's amazing energy made me feel right at home. He welcomed me with a comforting, energizing hug, and within a few minutes, it was like we were old friends. We had a great conversation about NY theater, and then, just when I needed it to, the conversation faded and I was able to let my mind wander away. The massage was amazing- all the kinks were worked out of my back and shoulders. I like a deep massage, but not too deep, and Jeffrey pressure was perfect- tough and tender at the same time. He even did an amazing massage on my hands, which felt wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about the massage, and I look forward to seeing Jeffrey again soon.Masseur Remarks:

Finally! The real deal, as they say! I can now say that I have found THE best massage therapist in the world. As I write this, I still have an enormous smile on my face that has lasted since I left my massage appointment. Jeff is an absolute gem and I couldn't have been more pleased! I travel a great deal and and have tried the "supposed best" all over the world, but this massage experience is, by far, THE best that I've ever had. I must admit that I was skeptical at first when reading his ad and then his extensive website. I wondered if this guy was just too good to be true. But I have to say that he's exactly who he says he is. He has a kind heart unlike any I've ever experienced before, and his heart and passion for massage and for his clients comes out the minute you meet him. I'm convinced he must be the nicest and sweetest man that I've ever met. His good looks and never-ending smile could melt even the coldest of hearts. His skill level and training are obvious the minute he starts to touch you. As the massage progressed, I realized that he is far better trained than most of the therapists at the high end spas and 4 star hotels I often go to while traveling. And even though we had just met, he was able to make me feel like we had known each other forever; truly, his amazing bedside manner is unmatched. He knew when I wanted to talk and was really interesting to talk to. So many of these massage guys don't seem to have an education level much past high school, I was pleasantly surprised to find him well cultured and educated. But I also give him great kudos for the way he naturally stopped talking when I started to drift off. He somehow knew that I was ready to just be quiet and let the experience wash over me and take me away. In the past I've often had to prompt talkative massage therapists that I didn't want to chat anymore. But Jeff just seemed to know when that was coming even before I did, and that truly impressed me. He has the sort of intuition that you always wish your massage therapist would have. His massage is very legitimate with a lovely sensuality throughout...just the perfect mix. I've had some serious back problems and often have trouble sleeping, but as he worked, I could feel the pain disappearing (and since my massage, I can now fully turn my neck again and finally woke up pain free!). He's really good about making sure that the pressure was just right, which is also helpful; nothing worse than having someone give you the wrong pressure and end up not enjoying the experience. It struck me just how much this man cares as he moved through his appointment with me. He made me feel like I was the most important client he's ever had, and that was really nice to experience for a change. Of course that now spoils me for other therapists who just go through the motions! Jeff is a very loving and affectionate young man, and the cradling in his arms at the end was something I'd never experienced before. I could have stayed there for hours! He is definitely an asset to the massage profession and I highly recommend him to anyone out there who desires a well trained, loving and warm, professional bodywork experience. Wow! I'm sort of blown away by this amazing review! I have to say that I do have a bit of a competitive side, and so striving to BE the best is definitely in my mind as I work, and as I created this appointment and perfected it over the past several years. I really cared about it being the best massage in the world - and so I began by saying "what do I wish the people who have worked on me had done better". The training and the skill is at the core, of course. I've always found it frustrating when I'm a client, to be subjected to an inexperienced massage from someone who doesn't really know what they're doing. (Although I do think I'd choose an inexperienced therapist who is trying his best and really cares over one who is very experienced and is burned out or doesn't care about the person on the table). So at the core of it, I bring a vast training and great credentials to the table. But beyond that, the difference, in my opinion, is about the heart and passion that goes along with it (as you kindly mentioned in your review). Thank you so much for commenting on my being nice and sweet. That means a lot to me. I take pride in being exactly who I say I am - a guy with a really big heart who truly cares about the people around me. I don't think you can fake that - I can always tell when I'm a client if the therapist is just going through the motions and trying to pretend to be interested and kind, when you know they'd rather be somewhere else. So thankfully, being a good guy is just an integral part of who I am - and that's why I think so many clients respond so well to my work. You mentioned the spas and 4 star hotels; well, the truth is that most massage therapists that have any talent for the work, transition out of hotel and spa work as soon as they can, because the spas and hotels take such HUGE cuts of money for their work. So sadly, often when you go for those very high priced appointments, you're with someone who is fairly recently out of massage school. I, myself, don't feel that I became a great massage therapist until my 2nd year of working. And after the years of doing this work, I find myself still perfecting my work and improving on it with every client that I take. Again, thanks for the great compliments about my being interesting to talk to. Chalk that up to coming from a very good family and growing up with a lot of culture around me. I'm glad you appreciated the way I knew when to let you drift off. That's a big challenge for a lot of massage therapists: when to talk and when to stop talking. Some clients want a lot of conversation, whereas others want none at all. Most clients like a bit of the getting to know you, and then want to let go and stop chatting so that they can go into the great massage zone and drift away. I watch very very carefully for the signs from the person on the table that the time for ending conversation has come. I think I have a great intuition for that, so thank you for commenting on it and solidifying my ability to rely on my intuition. I was SO glad to hear that you can fully turn your neck again and woke up without pain! That's great news! And you are right, actually - when you're on my table, you ARE the most important client that I've ever had. Which is why I would never answer calls or texts while a client is with me. I believe in making the person I'm working the most important person in my world during the time we're together is what makes the difference between a decent skilled massage, and an extraordinary massage experience. When I've been a client (which I am frequently), I'm constantly struck by the thought "does this guy have any idea what it's like to be on the receiving end of a massage this bad or this lazy?". I often think that if most of the massage therapists out there could receive their own appointment, that they'd make some serious changes to them. But perhaps not. I'm sure a lot of them just care about the money aspect of it. For me, though, I am always putting myself in the place of the person who is in my care and on my table. Am I treating him the way I would want to be treated? Am I giving him the experience at this moment that I would want to be receiving? I guess it's the old "do unto others" thing. And in reading your wonderful review, it confirms for me that I am, indeed, giving my clients the kind of caring and full experience that I wish I could receive when I'm the one laying on the table. I found out at the last minute that I was headed to NY for two days of meetings and decided to give NY's therapists another look-see. I'd been disappointed by some that I've hired in NY before, but Jeffrey's ad was exactly what I was looking for - a professional, therapeutic massage combined with the art of sensual and caring touch. As I read it, I said to myself, "this might be too good to be true", but it spoke to me and I had to call. Jeffrey responded to my call within minutes and even from our phone conversation, I could tell it was going to be a great experience. It is clear that Jeffrey is in this business because he genuinely cares about massage, touch and healing. I was greeted at the door with a smile and from the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and well attended. As a first time client, Jeffrey asked questions about pressure, problem areas and adjusted his work either deeper or lighter based on my feedback. With music softly playing in the background (some great Danny Wright on the piano), I was taken on a journey of touch and relaxation that culminated exactly as was promised... cradled in caring arms. If you're looking for a exceptional massage from an exceptional therapist, I can't recommend Jeffrey enough. He's spoiled me for others and I'll be a repeat client on every visit to NY. I only wish Jeffrey's ad had been on the first page of my search results because it would have saved me scrolling through so many ads that weren't what I was looking for...Masseur Remarks:

I do know what you mean, though, having been a disappointed client time and time and TIME again!! I've always said that nobody should ever go into the massage business just for the cash. Sadly, I would say that 99% of the guys that DO go into it in major cities, like New York, are in it specifically for the cash, and not for a love of massage or a love of their clients. You can always tell pretty quickly when reading their ads or talking to them that they're not really there for you, they're there for themselves. But then again, some of them are smart enough to give the illusion that they actually care about you as a client when reading their ads, only to get there and find that you're nothing more than another paycheck. I love being the guy who is different - the guy who TRULY cares about his clients and works very very hard to make each and every appointment special and memorable. But I've decided this is something that's either in your heart to give or not - you can't teach it. I'm thrilled with the success that I've found in my business, but MUCH more important, what excites me and keeps me going day to day is what joy I find in meeting my clients and sharing this amazing massage experience with them. I love being the guy that may seem "to good to be true", and actually can (and will) fully deliver on the promise that my ad and my website gives to be something truly extraordinary. But that comes from being sure to limit myself each and every day on clients so that you guys all get the very best of my energies, and it comes in dedicating myself to making every appointment I take the most extraordinary experience I can, and treating each and every client as if they're the most important person in my life. Jeffrey opens the door and you get a big smile, a huge hug, as well as a blast of positive energy. I have only had one other massage before and it was difficult to try and narrow down a great masseuse in NYC. I can say now that after a massage with Jeffrey my standards are extremely high! Jeffrey is a compassionate and loving human being. He is able to heal your muscle aches with the power of his gifted hands. He sends you into another universe and his custom made table makes you feel like you're floating on a cloud! His beauty is only exceeded by his passion to heal. He takes his time feeling your body for areas that need work. You can feel the warmth and energy that flows through his hands. He has such a big heart and I could tell that he was putting every ounce of love into the massage. It was very comforting to know that I was, literally, in such great hands. When i was ready to return to the busy streets of New York it was like I was floating home. I was on a high from him. He lifted every ounce of stress from my body and put a sense of ease and harmony into me. That night was the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time. I'm so incredibly touched by your review... and it means the world to know that all the things that I think are so important in my work, are things that meant just as much to you. I find that so many of the guys here that advertise make it SO much about the sex appeal that they forget the simple part of being a kind and loving welcoming person for their clients. I mean, nothing wrong with sex appeal! But there's got to be something more than just that. There has to be love and compassion and care... starting right with the first call or e-mail... and extending to the moment you walk in the door. That huge hug that I love to give right after you come in for your appointment is to let you know that you're truly wanted here... that you're going to cared for and cared about. I know a lot of clients are nervous prior to their appointments - nervous that the therapist might be a scammer, nervous about being touched in this way for the first time, nervous about not knowing what to expect... so many things that I know go through a client's head prior to coming in (as I've experienced myself often as a client myself). So that "blast of positive energy" (love your words on that! Thanks!), is a way to reassure you that you made the right choice with me. And to let you know that I'm going to take you on a very special journey that is all about you. I like you to know right from the beginning that it's your time and that my focus is 100% on you... that my heart is 100% into you and our time together. I'm glad you feel that after my work, that your standards are extremely high - I strive with EVERY appointment to raise every standard (even ones that I set with a client on a prior appointment). The massage was the best I have had in my life. He has gifed hands that sent chills even with the slightest touch. It was truely a therapeutic massage which aroused all of my senses and left me seeing stars. I get massages approx once a month and when I do spend this kind of money I need the massage to be about leaving fully satisfied which Jeffrey ensures. I am a Wall st financier, rarely away from my office, take multiple 16+ hr flights overseas per month, ivy educated, late 20s, frugal in many ways but believe Jeffrey's treatments may be the cure for the insane mental and physical stress we put ourselves through on a daily basis. Jeffrey has a website, he has photos, he has lengthy descriptions but short on time I simply called him, and he picked up right away, two sentences into the conversation I was at ease and booked an appointment not having peek at his photo. Upon arrival found him to be very attractive very masculine, you felt at home and knew you were in for a treat. This will be my first and last review as I have found the one.Masseur Remarks:

I could tell from our phone conversation that you had some nerves about having this kind of a massage, but were also very curious and excited to try it as well. So I'm glad we had a little time on the phone to chat so that you could come to the appointment feeling a little more at ease that I really was the real deal and not one of the vast numbers of "fakers" that advertise. I'm always aware that these appointments aren't cheap, and that there's a bit of a investment on the part of the client, so it makes me incredibly happy to be able to deliver one of the highest quality massages that you can get in the city! What I didn't realize at the time we chatted on the phone was that you had just seen a "text only" version of my ad and were choosing me 100% on what I wrote, and had no idea what I looked like. So it was incredibly flattering when you came in and told me how happily surprised you were with my looks. Still blushing from that! But thanks! This review is VERY LATE in being posted, as I lost my beloved father within a week after my massage experience with Jeffrey. I would be VERY REMISS, however, by not posting something (however tardy), because Jeffrey is such a caring and dear person...and he truly deserves all of the accolades he's garnered from men of all walks of life and from around the world. Suffice it to say that I can only agree whole-heartedly with all of the reviews that have been posted thus far; what I would like to share with everyone reading this review (especially Jeffrey!) is the sense of compassion and love that was presented to me during my session in August 2011: I was really STRESSED OUT, to put things plain and simple...and somehow I was aware that my beloved father would be passing very soon (which he did, about a week after my session with Jeffrey). Jeffrey not only helped me to relieve much of my stress concerning this event (which comes to all of us at some point in time), but he managed to instill in me a sense of renewal and to be able to look forward...past the impending event...and to take comfort in the fact that I was NOT ALONE...and that he fully understood what I was experiencing. For this, and this alone, I can only offer the highest accolades possible: a '10' seems redundant here...let's add an extra '0' and make it '100' - for not only providing a consummate tantric massage therapy experience, but also a compassionte exchange of love and understanding for me in a true time of trial...NAMASTE, JEFFREY!!! I'm also touched that you mentioned my compassion. It's a part of who I am - deep down in my core. The massage business is sadly littered with therapists who either have no compassion at all, or don't bother sharing that side of themselves with their clients. But without compassion and a deep caring for the person on the table - and I mean TRULY caring, not just faking it - then you shouldn't be in this business. I knew during our time together that I couldn't change what was happening in your personal life, but I wanted to do everything I could to alleviate that stress, and to help you to just fully let go. To be free of "real life" for a while, so that you could go back to it feeling re-energized and strong again. Holding you in my arms at the end, I remember looking down at you as you dozed off, looking like an innocent child in my arms and I knew you had been able to let go for a little while. I loved that moment. It's one of my favorite moments in the massage. And it's a wonderful way of instilling in you as we draw the massage to it's conclusion that you're not alone at all. I just came from an appointment with Jeffrey, and even though I'm probably too relaxed to type, I felt I needed to write a review right away because I have never been touched with such love and care before. I'm not a guy who is used to feeling attractive, but the way that Jeffrey touched me, he made me feel like I was the sexiest guy in the world. The massage itself was better than I've even had at the highest priced spas. I have some real problems with my lower back and IT bands, but Jeffrey took away the pain. Finally I found a guy who does sensual but actually IS a massage therapist. He got in as deep as I needed and was very attentive to making the pressure right for me. As I rode home in the taxi, I realized that for the first time in I don't know how long, I didn't have back pain! And I know he prefers we don't discuss too much of the details of the tantric aspects of his work in a review, but I'm going to risk it because it is absolutely amazing to me that there's actually someone who does BOTH the therapeutic and tantric sensual so well. He eases in and out of both styles without you even realizing it. One minute he's working deeply into a problem knot, and then before you realize it, another part of you is awakened and made to feel better than you had imagined before. And it's not just the obvious parts. (Although the obvious parts were very well attended). I didn't know that someone could touch your arms and make you feel as if you're going have a full body you-know-what just from a touch. I'm not sure what he did or how he did it, but I've never felt such sensuality on my arms before. Or my legs. The way he runs his hand lightly on the hair on your inner thigh. Wow. And the way he holds your hands. It sounds stupid, but it felt like he was in love with me the way he held my hands. And I'm sure that's not the case as he is most definitely out of my league and I'm sure has a very hot boyfriend! But for the time I was there, he made me feel like I was the boyfriend. And the best part (as if there could be a best part in a perfect experience!), was at the end, right after completion, when most guys unceremoniously walk away from you, leaving you alone and spent on the table, Jeffrey looks at you with such love in his eyes and then cradles your head in his arms. I could have stayed there forever! And he let me come out of it when I was ready. This guy is the real deal. Obviously I'm not saying anything the other 60 or so reviewers have all said about him, but take it from me, a guy who normally wouldn't be able to get a guy as handsome as Jeffrey - Jeffrey made me feel that I was the most special person in the world during the time we were together, and for that I'm so grateful.Masseur Remarks:

Hollywood and the media and gay culture has sort of defined for us what is (and isn’t) sexy, but the truth is that “sexy” comes in all shapes and sizes! Jeffrey Stevens doesn't give just a "massage" . . . he gives an entire experience. A spiritual experience. A thorough, positive mental experience. A physically uplifting experience. This is a true gentleman whom is filled with warmth and kindness. He single handedly has taken a once very scared man (me) and made him into a very comfortable and content person whom loves himself more than he ever has. His professional massage technique is comforting and relaxing and a great muscle and body stimulant especially after a workout. Although I do not prefer full time deep tissue, which I know he specializes in, his abilities with deep pressure balanced with lighter pressure was perfect. He was always making sure that the pressure was comfortable and worked out knots and aches when appropriate with a more deeper feel. His sensual hands caress your body so gently that you, at times, forget where you are and feel worlds away. I highly recommend this wonderful man as I was lucky enough to get appointments with him twice this past week. Well, if you're looking for a professional, caring and truly experienced masseur, then Jeffrey fits the bill. I was so nervous going in - my first experience of such a massage. Thank goodness I chose right. I had planned in 90 mins, but there was no clock watching, so time surpassed those plans. The massage itself was sensual, strong and reassuring in every way. At the end I did feel like my whole body had turned elastic. after a transatlantic flight this is the only way to recover! Jeffrey himself is fit too - which helps a great deal! Strong, firm hands which were never overpowering and always sensitive to the needs of every part of a mans body. Once I read Jeffrey's website I had to meet him. Everything he says is true, and he's got what everybody else I've been to was missing-genuine care and affection for his client. He's not afraid to show it either, and together with his expert massage technique that's what makes the massage truly complete and satisfying. He's not kidding about the untimed massage either. He found that my back needed extra attention and he worked on it until it was right, taking us way past a 90 minute massage. Jeffrey is a charming, handsome, intelligent, thoughtful and affectionate man besides being an expert massage therapist. This review means so much to me. Genuine care and affection is SO important, and sadly, SO rare in this business. As I've written in many other follow-ups to reviews: I'm a client myself. And I know how incredibly amazing it can be to have someone who not only has the training and the skills, but also has a warm and open heart that is extended on a very personal level to the person on the table. It's tough to find guys that encompass both sides of that coin - no matter where you go. I've had massages in most of the major cities in this country, and I know exactly what you mean - and what other clients mean when they tell me the same thing. Whenever someone asks me about going into massage, the first question I ask them is: "do you genuinely care about other human beings", and the second question is: "can you put aside your own needs for an extended period of time and truly open up to care about the needs of another human being, regardless of their age, looks, race, body type, or personality?". If they say no, or even hesitate in answering either of those questions, I immediately tell them that massage is not right for them. Which is invariably followed by their protest of "but I hear the money is SO good". To which, I explain that money should be the very last reason to go into this business. I tell them that the clients will know in an instant if your sole objective with them is to earn the cash. As for me, I decided a LONG time ago, that a massage simply should not be timed. I can't imagine saying to a client "I'm sorry, we didn't have time for such and such body part today", or ending a massage before you finish working on every part of the client's body. I got a massage last week, and the guy forgot (or chose not) to work on my scalp and my hands and forearms. Two parts that I very much need and enjoy having worked on. But he had "run out of time" and said "we'll get to that next time". Changed the whole dynamic of the appointment. So I won't do that with my own clients. Our time is OUR time and it'll take as long as it needs to. And I know when you realized, at the end of our appointment, how long we had gone, how surprised you were that untimed really DID mean untimed... the look on your face was very sweet and SO appreciative - and made my efforts SO worth it. But honestly, how could I care about my clients and their welfare and stop before I'm finished with the work? Or rush you through a body part just because the clock is ticking? Spa's do have to do that, and guys who cram their schedules full of clients also have to do that (especially the guys who have low prices and count on volume to make the money they need to live on). But as for me, I love taking limited clients and having the ability to always take it slow and always make it special and memorable. And having a client like you realize at the end, that YOU mattered enough to me to make it right and make it special, is an incredible reward. I just had an appointment with Jeffrey. He is far superior to any other masseur I have been to in the past few years. After reading his ad, I checked out his website. The site is very comprehensive and gives you an accurate idea of who Jeffrey is and the service he provides. He put me at ease right away, greeting me with a hug and drawing me out with conversation as I got ready for the massage. Jeffrey found the knots in my back immediately. It was if his hands were drawn to them. With Jeffrey alternating between deep and light pressure (as different parts of my body required), I was completely transported. I had been considering booking a massage with Jeffrey for quite some time. The reviews here and the description of his massages on his website were quite complimentary. I figured if he was half as good as the reviews said he was, I was in for a great massage. I finally got up the nerve to make an appointment and Jeffrey far exceeded my expectations. He quickly responded to my e-mail and we set up an appointment. Jeffrey is a warm and caring man and even though I was nervous, he made me feel comfortable and at ease. He is also very friendly and affectionate and that just adds so much to the massage. We talked about the amount of pressure I liked in a massage and Jeffrey started with that and adjusted pressure as necessary. He was genuinely interested in giving me the best massage that he could. I went to Jeffrey because of the long list of good reviews. I wondered if it was actually possible that someone could be kind, sensitive, discreet, intelligent, warm, compassionate, and immensely skilled at the art of giving a great massage tailored to his client's body, even if he'd never worked on you before. I walked in the door and was greeted with a hug; more than an hour and a half later I walked out feeling happy, re-energized, alive again. Everything that other people have said here is true-he focuses on you, listens to you, has the kind of understanding of your body that comes from intuition and instinct combined with experience. He unknotted my right shoulder, which had felt unfixable for days; he opened up my lower back amazingly, he engaged with me throughout in a way that made me feel calm and centered, and-what an extraordinary thing-he never watched the clock. I felt safe with him, and more than that, truly and professionally cared for-something I almost never feel during a massage-and also just happy to spend time in the company of a terrifically nice, thoughtful and sensitive guy. When you post a review here, the instructions tell you that you should write at some length because one or two sentence summaries will not be published. I know EXACTLY what you mean!! I feel that way every time I try a new massage guy. Is it actually possible he can be all of the things I HOPE that he'll be... or that his ad implies he is? (Provided the guy bothered writing more than 2-3 sentences!) But one of the absolute joys I have in my work, is that I truly am all of those things you listed - and I can say that I am those things, partially because there part of my core nature, and partly because it's how I choose to live my life. Warmth and compassion are a huge key for me in all aspects of my life. But especially in my work. HOLY SH*T!! FINALLY, a massage WORTH having! I first have to start by saying that I have hired a lot of massage therapists from this site, and have had more bad experiences than any one person should ever have. I always get suckered by the hot bodies and thinking how that's gonna be so great when that hot naked guy is touching me. And then I get there, and either the pics are fake, or the guy is a jerk or doesn't know what he's doing, and then it ends a LOT quicker than they said it would. Every time I swear "never again". But a month later I'm back here looking at ads again. I chose Jeff this time because he just looked like the nicest guy, and was really needing someone to be NICE to me. I've had enough of that "i'm too hot for you anyway, so suffer through my bad massage and be glad I'm even bothering with you" crap you so often get from the other guys. Not with Jeff. This guy actually really loves what he does. I figured he probably did from seeing his extensive website, and from his really nice comments on the reviews. It was really interesting reading about Jeff's experiences as a client on his website and it made me think that maybe he really did get what I had gone through with others and would try harder. But I was honestly skeptical at first, because I was starting to think the idea of a really GREAT massage was sorta of a pipe dream. But Jeff intrigued me enough that I figured I'd put him to the test. From the first he was so nice. He answered all my questions on the phone and by the time I was done booking, I felt like I was going to see an old friend. That took a LOT of nerves out of it for me on the way over to the appointment. Then I get there and he welcomes me into his lovely apartment and gives me this huge hug, like an old friend who hadn't seen me in a while. I can be sorta shy when I first meet people, and since I'm not in the best shape, I always figure massage therapists are disappointed when I come through the door. But Jeff made me feel like I was Brad Pitt. His table was heaven. Seriously. So comfortable, he almost didn't need to massage me. And it was really nice having someone who had a very professional set up and real massage sheets, and not just old bed sheets and a pillowcase over the headrest like the last guy I went to. The music was perfect and the candles made it sorta romantic. And then he touched me. Wow. It was the combo of I think I'm in love and I wanna scream at the top of my lungs "I finally found someone who KNOWS what they're doing"! His deep work was amazing, and he adjusted pressure where I needed it lighter. And when he says he takes you on a journey, he's not kidding. It's sorta indescribable. But the thing that really amazed me is how often he gave me these very sweet reassuring loving kisses on the back of my head, or held my hand in such a romantic way that made me feel like he really wanted ME there. I asked him if he did that for everyone, and he said it all depends on whether he thinks a client wants that kind of affection or not. He said some of his straight clients don't, but I can't imagine missing it, so if I were you I'd tell him if you like affection so you can get that part too. For the first time, maybe ever, I didn't feel fat. He was really easy to talk to when I was nervous and wanted to talk, and then he just seemed to know when to be quiet and let me zone. I guess I'm gushing like so many of his other clients that reviewed him, but somehow after it was all over, just giving him money didn't seem like enough. He was so generous with his time and his heart, and I never felt rushed. Even after the massage was finished, he just cradled me like I was a little baby and I could have slept there for hours. And it was like he let me come out of it naturally as opposed to the other guys who inform you that your time is up. It's just really nice for once to not leave a massage pissed about the body parts that were missed, or the guy being a jerk, or feeling rushed. It was so nice to just not be scammed and to find a guy who truly loves his work, and made me feel like he loved working on me. So thank you Jeff (or is it Jeffrey? you said both when telling me stories, so I'm not sure which you prefer). I wish I had brought more money to give to you because it was worth more than your fee and the small tip I gave. And I don't know if this was too much detail to write in a review or not. But there it is. I just wanted to say all I loved about it. Oh, and in case you don't know, I was the guy you saw at 9 on Tuesday (the 25th). Why shouldn't we be able to smile and share a laugh before we move into the intimacy that is a massage? In my mind, that only connects us more, on a wonderful personal level. Thank you for mentioning my knowing when to let you float away. I love that moment when I instinctively feel that the person on the table is starting to go into that zone of relaxation. Often we've had some great conversation leading up to that point (or not, if I know that a client wants full silence from me during the appointment), and then when the transition comes as the client starts to drift into that other plane, I find other ways of communicating, through my touch. It's one of the times in the appointment when I feel most nurturing. And you're right - you WERE cared for during our time together. Very much so. The greatest gift that I can give is to help whoever is on the table feel truly cared for and safe and nurtured. And holding you at the end of the massage is again one of my favorite parts of what I do. Unlike most of the others who are quick to end after the "finale" and seem to rush to wash up and get back to their text messages, I love taking however much time we need to let you lay there in my arms, feeling safe and cared for.
